False Allegations of Child Abuse.
I firmly believe that the guilty should be punished and
innocent vindicated. That should be the thrust of any Legalisation.
Any other Criteria would be unjust and unacceptable.
1. Currently, about one third of the received reports are subsequently
confirmed. (child abuse statistics-health board) What of the other
two thirds? Does this mean that the other two thirds are guilty,
but not proven, or are they presumed innocent? Otherwise anybody
reported is guilty by default using these criteria?
2. Sexual Abuse in Divorce SAID is a trend, which has been
on the increase worldwide. It usually involves the mother making
allegations, or the threat of allegations that the separated father
has sexually abused their child/children. This allegation is directly
related to her seeking sole custody of the children and is intended
at best, to restrict the father's contact with his children to very
limited and supervised access, while at worst it totally destroys
the father child relationship altogether and always results in irreparable
damage to innocent fathers and their children.
3. In Ireland, where parents separate is there a significant statistical
link between Court Applications for Access/Custody of Children by
the mother and the emergence of an allegation of child sexual abuse
from the mother (who currently retains sole custody of the children)?
Do the Health Board publish such statistics?
Do the Health Board even record this specific statistic?
The unprofessional and biased handling of many allegations
of child abuse leads to the destruction of the relationships for
many innocent fathers and their children.
Situations do not change until they are quantified and
acknowledged.
See my
proposals for procedures to be used where an allegation
is made against a father of child abuse.
