In
Camera
All
Family Court hearings in Ireland are held “In Camera”.
So many people I talk to, young and old, uneducated and corporate
leaders, all believe that this means that there are cameras in the
courts to record everything that goes on. They assume that this
recording protects Quality Assurance standards in the Courts.
Nothing could be further from the truth. IN CAMERA actually
means “In Chambers”, meaning “IN SECRET”,
or “JUDGEMENT IN THE DARK”
FACTS:-
There are no cameras in Family courts.
There are no accurate records kept of evidence given, statements
made, or rationales of decisions.
No one can talk about what has happened in the secret courts,
not even to their politicians, journalists, priests, therapists,
social workers. They can’t even discuss the details with
their families, their partners , friends etc.
The big joke is that the DAIL will soon be asked to vote
on mickey mouse changes to the IN CAMERA RULE and by law that no
TD can know what’s being going on in the Family Courts, unless
they themselves have had a family problem.
Have a look at the material across and see the big picture.
