| One day over a
cup of tea I was having a chat with my father. I was telling
him what was going on in my life, "You have a different
moral outlook than me", he said, "But then, we were
both dealt different hands of cards." Liamog |
One day,I was reading a book on
astronomy when my father came into the room (I was about 35
years old). He asked me what the book was about. I explained
that it was a mathematical analysis of the probability of existence
of human life on other planets. Out of the Zillions of possibilities
the author kept rooting out dead planets and still there were
zillions left.
My father paused for a moment, thoughtfully. "All I know",
he said, "is that when I look up at the sky, is that it's
an awful lot bigger than me". I just knew that at the end
of the book this was where the author would probably end up.
However, unlike my father, I had to read all the way through
the book, to reach the obvious. Liamog |
| "I know how frightened
you were of losing your children when your marriage broke down
and all I can say is use the fear to achieve what's right and
just." Normans
